Sensuality is expressed in language
by the letter l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l.
Drawn out, starting at the back of the open throat
and ending with the tongue on the teeth.
Everything between throat and tooth is
wind and song sliding over tongue
gathering languid longing over movement
that can last only as long as the breath
or until the front of the tongue
touches the tips of the teeth and releases
liquid luxury through softly parted lips.

Form the word. Test its flavor in the mouth.
How does it shape the lips, the tongue,
The opening at the back of the throat?
Roll the sound under and over your tongue.
If the word creates openings in hidden places
inside your mouth,
fold it into your linguistic boudoir, where
you can slide it out with breath and
quietly,
whisperingly…
whenever the urge moves you.
